Disaster in Europe

An outbreak of Super-bacteria got from green vegetables harvested in European countries, especially in German, and it has spread to some other countries. Spanish farmers blamed on a mislead report of the causes of its infection. Farmers in Spain attribute their bankruptcy to irresponsible words spoken by German officials. The causes are yet to be clarified but seem to have to do with a strain of cucumber itself, said a German official in a press conference. Production in farms of Europe recently made closures foreseeing bigger losses in their businesses. A great deal of economic damage seems to be certain.

The USA still keeps importing green vegetables as usual. “My cucumbers are healthy and harmless but the matter of dealing this issue is so inappropriate as to make so much damage on our income,” said one of the farmers in Spain. The truck was fully occupied with abundant vegetables that were not able to be sold out.

However, Russia seems reluctant to help European economy as the government is cautious of getting poisoned food and is trying to prevent Russian people from losing their life. Russia has cut all contracts regarding an import of fresh vegetables. The World Trade Organization officials of Europe showed despondency and outraged feelings. However this time their counterparts showed quite a determined attitude.

Without knowing the exact cause for the contaminated foods, there are no proper medicines prepared. Allegedly Russia looks forward to finding the cause and will decide what to do about the issue. They hinted that they might be considering a full stop to the trade of green vegetables with other countries.

Until now 18 people were reported to be killed from this case. Twelve countries were infected. A couple of Americans also got ill while they were on the trip to Germany. They now spend their days on a hospital in US. Europe is now stuck and sees no outlet to exporting their vegetables around the world.

Thirty six people were sent to hospital on suspicion of having E. coli. A woman in her 50’s passed away during her stay in the hospital. She and others are found out to have been in Germany for days or weeks lately. Re-exporting agricultural products, obtained from Germany, to other countries is likely to spread the disease further and would bring more agonies.

Human right in Libya

As two cases happened recently which points to a lack of morality in Libya, it clearly shows that the country is no human right zone. First, there came a woman who insists on being raped by Al Gaddafi’s forces and now life of civilians in Libya is reported to be at risk.

Rebels blossomed in Libya were a big threat to residents around. Some civilians were taken illegally. People who were under a suspicion of being pro-Gaddafi were detained without a second thought. One of them has allegedly been killed. There were evidential marks of being tortured, said Human Right Watch. As the matter has come to this far, NATO warned rebels in Libya to stay away from people whether their beliefs are against theirs or not. “We have to distinguish between general people who are loyal to their government,” said NATO. “And that is why we are having hard time in making decisions such as providing rebels with more skilled weapons or not.

Human Right Associates have also pointed out the previous case of the woman raped, whose name is Al Obediy. Reportedly, after she had opened her secrets to the press or media, her eye was blackened with bruises. Her arms were red with scratches and seemed to have been somewhat tortured. The UN council is concerned about her health condition and promised to hold an investigation.

Under the process conducted by UN she was safely transferred to another place in Qatar. To start her new life in there overcoming the gang raped, her place to stay was chosen with a great concern. However, another piece of breaking news came to convey that she was moved to another place again. She had expelled by Qataris officials. Transitional National Council had forced Qataris to get her out of the place, she said. As to take an action Qataris embassy in US told that they could send questions about her movement as if they were innocent with no guilt. However, there has been no reply yet.

Those are their tactics or leak in their morality, said Human Right group. Accordingly, this is how they play, letting pro Gaddafi to hide between among civilians in order not to identify them. It is better off to be in most populated areas.

China’s economy will overtake US?

China’s economy has been expanding very rapidly. The size is going ahead of Japan now. US is wondering if would be overtaken by China one day in the future. Japan is no more the second largest economy in the world. China, a new upcoming country with great potential, has been replaced in the position. China’s economic growing is at high speed. The country accomplished great changes in a short period of time. This worries US so much that they are afraid that the country can be the second to be chased.

It will be not easy to ignore China’s growth. According to IMF, however, for China to catch up with US’s economy, they will have to motor their speed. Last year while China Gross Domestic Product (GDP) reached $5.4 trillion, US recorded $14.8 trillion. It is three times bigger than China’s economy. Jay Brison, an international economist at Wells Fargo, once said, “we have nothing to fear at all. Twenty years is an impossible term for them to catch up with us,” he said.

If China has planned to enhance their economy than US, their development would have to keep as high as twelve per cent when US’s remains low at two per cent. However, since it is unrealistic for both countries to stay that far low and far high, it is difficult to predict at the moment how the two economies will develop in the future.

The second factor that is an obstacle to China’s economic growth in the future is their overpopulation and elderly people. Because of their one-child policy their workforce is weak, reported an economist. This tells us what their living standards would be like in the future. This tells us that China will not be able to grow in the future as fast as they used to in the past.

With this troublesome character of China, India would take over the post of China with great potential, said Mr. Hawksworth. In two years India will occupy the third place of economy. Once more Japan would have to lose its current position to India. India will run fast with an abundance of their promising youngsters, which lacks in China, he said.

However, prices in developing countries are lower than in developed countries. Therefore, the income of underdeveloped countries may be underestimated, compared to that of advanced countries. According to a recent study Davis, an economist in university of California, foresees China’s economy will grow as big as that of US as early as in 2014.

What is with Tornadoes happening in a raw?

Tornadoes hit Massachusetts on early Thursday, June second. Along with three tornadoes that landed a day before near the outskirt of the state, a massive tornado disappeared with four people dead. Police officers are still on the track of detecting any possible survivors left behind. A thousand National Guard soldiers were sent out as an aid for searching any residents under the broken buildings.

The situation was depicted as a war- torn city by a witness, one of the residents. By the time the tornado came across, a road construction was going on. The scale of damage was more severe than it would have been. “All lights went out and everything turned black and when the air seemed to be clear enough, bricks, blocks, and debris were all over the air” said one of the escapers.

Twelve thousand people are now on the way to sanctuary waiting in the darkness for the return of electricity power that has been cut down due to the natural disaster. But the supply of electricity would unfortunately start by the end of this week at the earliest.

According to Atmospheric Administration, two or three tornadoes happen annually in and around Massachusetts. However, some geophysicists share a different view on tornadoes that happened in a row recently. Scientists investigating previous damages suspect these phenomena of environmental pollution. Nothing has been settled yet, but they do connect the mass destruction to a fruit of contamination made by people.

According to a study that has been carried out by David Lerach of Colorado State University, tornadoes from in different shapes depend on the circumstances. A tornado happened in polluted area had a shade difference with another tornado happened in clearer district. Both appeared with spiral clouds but a long twister did not appear on the state of clear air. Scientists say tornadoes are part of natural occurrence happening on earth. However, the pollution that men created contribute to the formation of tornadoes, the scientist insisted.

Accordingly, particles of dusts in air prevent a cold heavy air from descending as a raindrop. Instead, it transferred them into a group of massive clouds which later end up in forming a tornado. Tornadoes that happen annually appeared frequently this year. But a graph comparing frequencies of tornadoes that took place in 2004 and in 2011 reversed the interpretation. Accordingly, while 1485 tornadoes happened in 2004, in 2011, this year 1817 tornadoes went by.

Space shuttle Endeavor

The last space shuttle Endeavor that had departed on May 16th has reappeared on the earth as it was time to come back from a long journey to our galaxy. The ship landed in a dark night of June first. With twenty five missions accomplished the space travel marked its end to its 122 million miles of an expedition. Ring of fire was evidently pictured on the departing day and now there is a new photo of the vessel landing with a parachute on its side in the darkness.

The arrival made on Wednesday was the last moment of Endeavor space craft program. It has retired from its twenty years of devotion on making history by travels and innovations done in space. At the same time of receiving congratulations, for the succession made in carrying out missions well, the arrival made people, personals in NASA, saddened. Their 16 days from space traveling to returning, which were actually 296days to astronauts, was a joint effort project of Russia and US.

The mission given to the space shuttle was to install an Alpha Magnetic Spectrometer on Space station. Since there was a report of well done in establishing the apparatus, physics turned into a wild excitement appointing promising future. AMS reportedly detects a variety of rays that go through our galaxy. There would be a long term of an observation on anti substances that access to the earth. “Oxygen was generated and Carbon dioxide was purified in space station and now we will leave this to other guys” said Kelly, one of the astronauts.

On the preparation of this space craft departure there was a minor problem that made workers’ nerves tensed. A day before its leave there was a day change happened in the mid of its preparation and has been postponed to May 8th. However, the work has met tremendous happy ending.

30 year of shuttle program hosted by NASA has come to the end. Their burdens were finally unloaded and now plan for the future of next generation. Next step would be on constructing space shuttle looking forward to land on orbits of Mars or the moon. Another course for solar system is expecting to be pushed further by NASA. This has been anticipated to make a greater achievement in human’s life,

Young college students are at risk

Global financial crisis dropped by in 2008. Victims from predatory lending were a lot here and there. Undergraduates, reportedly, were one of the victims most severely hit among 2008 recession moaners. This year, 2011, is considered to be somewhat getting out of the recession. However, the result shows that the number of the college student loaners is increasing.

Undergraduate loaners were about five percent but have increased to 14 per cent just in 3 years from 2004 to 2007. In 2008 it has reached as much as 18 per cent. What makes these fellows more pitiful is their unawareness of how to use more effective system, said the report. The tuition fee for higher education is the most outspoken motive that sh made them a bunch of credit delinquents.

“I have to a part time job but the project that I am doing is so intense that I cannot make spare time to work,” said a student in Art Center College in California. As the bill is not affordable for him, he cannot pay back, so the bill is growing to be 1,700 dollars per month. Students’ requests for easier ways to the payment have been accepted. According to the federal loan plan, students whose income remains low are allowed to delay paying loans. The cutline is below 16,145 dollars.

Students who have gone through private loans came up with an idea about sending financial advisors to high schools. In order to stop the circulation of this main factor of 2008 economic recession students need to be informed, an advocate of students said. Prior knowledge before they head to bigger schools, colleges would be helpful in not getting lost. “My phone keeps ringing from the bank but I still remain unemployed,” said a female student.

It is hard to stop make private loaners from financing. It is one of the factors that the global financial crisis is continuing. “Predatory lending is a very important social issue. It is time to look for an alternative to predatory lending, for example, coming up with a rule for the protection of college students,” said a student.

Paying fees for college is definitely challenging these days. To take safer route for loaning money is to use federal loans. According to a recent study on Project on Student Debt, students in 31 states pay their bills via risks. Experts say loaning from federal government is the best choice they can have. Because of its fixed interest and consumer protection it is a perfect match for college undergraduates.

Osama Bin Laden

An associate of Osama Bin Laden, a former leader of Al Qaeda, was caught in Afghanistan. He allegedly has been undergoing a preparation another attack with two others. They were captured on Wednesday when there was a raid on the city of Uzbekistan, capital of insurgency. Another terrorist was arrested before the event. They were a few of the culprits who conducted a suicide bomb that happened on the week before. In the suicide bomb kill one police officer was killed and a German general was seriously injured, reported a spokesperson in ISAF.

Like this men searching program is on its way, US concerns on a movement made by all connected ones. Since the death of Osama Bin Laden has been confirmed, the shape of Al Qaeda became vague. After Osama Bin Laden was supposed to be the mastermind who stood behind the September Eleven Terrorism on a Trade Center Tower, his whereabouts was elusive for a while. Then his body appeared again carried by Special Forces of US. A DNA test was conducted, and the result said the body was 99.9% his.

He was found in a border between Afghanistan and Pakistan, which has been presumed long before he was caught by armies’ eyes. He was hiding near the city of Abbottabad. A gun down, he lay dead during the gun battle. The operation was to kill him on the spot. It was not to bring him alive to US. There were no casualties made in American forces. They say their tasks were hard due to the distinction that they had to make to protect civilians from the targeted. The special team withdrew after they shot in his right eye to death, according to CIA which monitored the forty minutes of the gun battle in a real-time show.

Osama Bin Laden has been a leader of Al-Qaida for two decades. For his terrible attacks were notorious and numerous, Americans celebrated his death with a toast. But people of the US heard once more that the incumbent president Obama stated that his death does not mark the end of our efforts and that terror of the type will not come to the end. The President promised that US will pay back to any terrorists. However, retaliations from Islamic extremists is a fear to US
